A:  Hi, the Gate Post features an additional supporting steel U that provides additional strength and support for the gate. The standard fence posts do not include this additional support. Thank you, Select Surfaces.

A:  Hi Kris, our 8 ft Fence posts have been designed to go 2 feet into the ground, and then secured with concrete and drainage gravel. Our 6 ft posts are meant to be secured into a flat concrete foundation. This will ensure the stability and strength of the fence. Thank you, Creative Surfaces.
