Q:What?s the difference between the 6.5 and the 12.9 r value

A:  Hi Mike, The difference between these two doors is the 6.5R door uses polystyrene insulation and the 12.9R door uses polyurethane insulation which is a much denser and heavier insulation therefore you get about double the R-Value even though the doors are the same thickness.     Q:Is it possible to assemble the door so top section of the door has no windows and the second section, below the top, has the windows. I know some extra holes may need to be drilled but that is not a problem.

      A:  Hi Mike, You will want to make your "finished opening" the same size of the door you want or just slightly smaller. By finished we mean any finished trim. Then your perimeter weatherseal will by applied and seal the door to the trim. Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team
