A: I am not sure why you would paint asphalt, unless you are talking about paint lines in a lot. In this case, I would imagine paint designed for asphalt marking would be fine.
A: Unfortunately no the black is not paintable, but the grey Crack Stix is paintable if that will work for you.
A: Use at any temperature.
A: Can be used in winter and summer.
A: The application temperature is above 32 F, and avoid application if rainfall is likely within the next 24 hours.

A: I'm in N. Florida so there are very few days in my area temperature would make a difference in usability however it is a brutally hot job on a hot day on blacktop if you're using a weed burner to melt it in. So a 60-70F day would allow you to work on much cooler asphalt. I have put the product in the freezer when I was experimenting with cutting it in half to fit in smaller cracks and that didn't really affect the product. It quickly became pliable. If the product is stiff from extreme cold that might make it difficult to work with and take longer to melt depending upon what you are using for a heat source. I use a small propane tip (to give me precise control of the heat) adapted to a large propane tank on wheels as I am repairing thousands of linear feet (and still not done). Doing it my way is a hands and knees job. I do resort to my weed burner sometimes to save my back. If you were working in freezing temps and then applying a huge flame you could cause some cracking to the adjacent blacktop if you didn't warm it up slowly. There's where a smaller heating tip would come in handy. Although you didn't ask - I've adapted a grinder to a string trimmer wheeled frame and use a grinding file to achieve a uniform width and depth as much as possible before applying which helps save time and propane.
A: It's actually quite light weight. I'd say under 10 lbs. for the 250 ft. bucket
