A:  This item is designed to be used as five stacked consecutive shelves in a wall corner. Please call 800-432-6922 to discuss any modifications or alternate shelving options.

A:  Yes you could make it shorter overall.

A:  If you look at the assembly instructions (in PDF above), it should be easy to just leave a shelf or two out. In the instructions, just skip one of Parts B and C to remove a shelf. Repeat for more than one.

A:  Yes you can, the parts are identical in the middle you should be able to take off a shelf without a problem
