A:  No, you just gain runtime with the bigger battery. The flexvolt battery will give you slightly more power and runtime.

A:  The newer batteries with 21700 lithium cells do put out more current and therefore power than the old 18650 cells. There are tests done in YouTube demonstrating this, but I’m sure it varies by manufacturer and tool.
