Q:Does the nightlight come on with motion sensing?
by|Mar 8, 2019

Answer This Question
A: No, it is not. The night light is controlled with a separate switch.
by|Mar 9, 2019
A: I wouldn't know because our Exhaust Fan is controlled with wall switch and doesn't have motion sensing. I don't think motion sensing was an option on our fan.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes. All Delta Breez fans are UL approved. Here is UL’s testing protocol:
For Fan/lights models - SIG80-110led, UL requires 8.5 inches of insulation on all sides (including top) of the product. Insulation shall be of the loose ll type and should have a thermal resistance per inch between 3.75-3.85 R (declared by the manufacturer) when conditioned to a density of 32.04 - 40.05 kg/m3. This scenario is equivalent to an approximate R value of R32. R40 is the max for Canadian installations. Please feel free to contact our Technical Support at (888) 979-9889 Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST or email us at BreezTechSupport@deltaww.com for additional assistance.

Q:Wiring for a retro-fit into house with only one switch.
Connecting the power, mode, and light to the one switch would provide me with light and humidity detection mode?

Answer This Question
A: There are many ways to wire this multi-function fan, but it's hard to get full functionality with just one switch. To get the most functionality with one switch, you want to provide an unswitched 110v supply to the power line - then the humidity sensor is monitoring and active all the time. Connect the light and mode wires to your switch, and when you flip the switch on, the light will light up and the fan will run at maximum speed (good to vent odor when it's not humid in the room).
As you suggest with power, mode, and light connected to the one switch, you'll never get the humidity sensing function on it's own (any time mode is "on" the fan will run at full speed).
One other note - the electronic control circuit in the fan is incompatible with many fully electronic timer switches (like Lutron). Delta Breez can provide you with a list of timers that are compatible, including some electronic ones. In my setup, I have the humidity sensor wired always on so it works any time the room gets humid, a regular switch for the light, and a timer for manually activating the fan. It's an awesome setup. I had access to the fan location from the attic, so it was easy to run the continuous power for the sensor.

A: I was able to one wire the light, fan, sensor. The humidity sensor does work with my one wire install. This was a retrofit for a fan only replacement. So I didn’t have to run extra wires. The fan was near my shower, so now I’ve got extra lighting and humidity sensor for when taking a shower.
If you want the fan to turn on manually, just flip the switch twice.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. For model SIG80-110DLED, Delta Electronics designs and manufactures our own LED module, so this is a customized LED module that cannot be accommodated screw-in LED bulb. LED is designed to last a minimum of 30,000 hours, in the unlikely need for replacement in the future. Delta products has a 3-year limited warranty, we will replace the LED module if the fan was purchased within the 3-year limited warranty period. And if needed, LED module are available to purchase as well.
And to clarify the GU24 pin base model, we have used GU24 pin base CFB in early production and GU24 pin base LED bulb in later production (but were still market as L model, not LED model). I recommend to give us a call for any further assistance, our technical support can be reached at (888) 979-9889 Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST or email us at BreezTechSupport@deltaww.com.
