A:  Not sure but I believe all parts are made of no rusting metal ( brass, nickel, zinc). Test for steel parts using. A magnet. However the screws that come with package are steel plated so swap those out with stainless steel. Mounting clips are also steel plated so seal around the towel bar ends and the end pieces with clear silicone caulking as you mount them on the wall then check you got a good seal and apply more caulking if in doubt. Final step is to wipe surplus caulking off to make a clean look before the caulking drys.

A:  Yes, if you have the proper tool to cut the bar. It's length and diameter is the same, so cutting an end to fit your need should suffice.

A:  Yes, you can cut the bar with a havk saw and make it any length you want.

A:  If you are able to cut the bar, it can be shortened. The bar inserts into both end pieces.

A:  Although I have not done this with the Everly towel bar, it appears you can shorten the bar itself to the dimensions you need by cutting it with a small pipe cutter. I did this with another towel bar I purchase last year and it worked fine. You do need to then sand down the cut end with emery paper to get rid of any spurs on the bar.

A:  Yes, just use a good cutting tool. New hacksaw blade. Wrap in a fabric before putting at into a vise. Wrap some masking tape around the bar before cutting and draw a pencil line around all 4 sides to better guide your sawing. Test first for steel material vs brass using a magnet. If steel put some silicone caulking on the end cut to prevent any future rusting or dab some primer paint on the cut edge.
