A: Hello Dean,
Thank you for your question. The RP25620 set screws have a size of #10-32 x .25 and are listed with several different models. The screws that will work on your faucet is determined by the model number. Not all of the Delta screws are interchangeable.
Best regards,
Tanya

Q:Are the set screws compatible with part# RP73071, Delta faucet #19933-sd-dst "Trask"
by|Feb 12, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your question, CM! The Delta Trask, model 19933-sd-dst uses the RP73071 set screw which uses a 1/8" Allen wrench. RP25620 uses a 3/32" allen wrench so these are not interchangeable.

Q:Help I don’t want to redo the whole faucet

A: It looks like it should. I am a consumer so I can’t say for sure but these screws are universal. I highly recommend you look into purchasing Klein Tools 3/32 in. Journeyman T-Handle Hex Key 4 in. if you haven’t done so already. It’s the best tool for tightening these screws and costs under $4. Best investment if a loose handle is your problem and the current screw does or doesn’t need replacing.

A: susieq, I'm sorry for any inconvenience! The Silverton handles take the part number RP25620 set screws.
If the handles are not connecting with the stem properly, the end valve will need to be raised. To do this, we recommend to turn the water supplies off first. Loosen the set screw on the handles and pull them off (3/32" Allen). Next, loosen the mounting nut under the sink. Push on the valve to raise it up and then thread down on the base ring above the sink. This may require a second person. Once it is threaded all the way down, re-tighten the mounting nut and turn the water supplies back on. This will allow more room for the handles to go down onto the stem.
Best regards, Jon

Q:I need a set screw RP79243 for a bathroom faucet. Will this work or how can i find one that will? I called Delta and they assured me they were "overnighting" the part i needed along with an extra handle. They sent me plenty of things that I don't need but no set screw! I am about ready to have this thing removed and go by another brand. I talked to two people at Delta and emphasized all I needed was the set screw. I was going to go back to Home Depot and see if they had them and the Delta people assured me they had it and would send it. No more Delta brand for me.

A: It works for my Delta faucet. It is cheap and if it does not work, you can always return to the store.

A: Hi, Patricia.
Thank you for your question. I am sorry for any inconvenience you're experiencing waiting for a part from us at Delta Faucet Company. Unfortunately, the RP79243 set screw has metric M5 x.5 threads and the RP25620 set screws are a #10-32 x .25 so this will not fit. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

A: I don't know. I'm pretty sure these are only for Delta faucet handles. I guess you could buy them and try. I think Home Depot takes returns.

A: I’m not 100% positive but I’m comparing my own items in my home and the delta screws I used for my faucet are clearly larger than the screws in the towel bar. But to be safe, you may want to call Delta and confirm. They have excellent customer service and they’ve sent me free items under warranty even though my Delta items are 11 years old. Also, the staff at Home Depot stores are knowledgeable and can assist you.
