I would watch a YouTube video to see if you want to attempt to replace the seat/spring. Water must be shut off. Allen wrench to remove handle. Delta/Peerless spanner Wrench needed to remove the ball diverter.

Will this fit a Glacier Bay model 67552-1001? Home Depot says this is the seat/spring replacement set for that model.

According to delta my old old faucet was a Delta 602 series, which makes it a 600 series. This doesn't just turn left and right, it goes up and down as well. It's a weird twist. Our tenant (on a new rental) wasn't getting any hot water and I suspected this right away. Another problem that could happen is even when it's turned off, water still comes out of the spout/shower head. Ours was the former and not the latter. What I realized immediately was that the existing 2 seats and springs were very new. My guess is someone replaced it right before they sold the house to us but the seat and springs were not seated correctly and when the handle was turned it crushed the seat, deforming the rubber seat, which closes the hot water outlet! Since it was so deformed and I had a kit right next to me, I replaced it and boom, it worked immediately. Delta does not recommend any grease on the seats but I put on a NON PETROLEUM O-RING grease. This is ver important if you do choose to use grease because a petroleum base grease will shrink or dry out the seat and cause it to break and leak. I also greased the dome shaped cover, and the screw(anything that involves metal screwing to metal) so whoever repairs it next time won't have any problems. It'll also protect your metal from deterioration and make everything last longer. Not bad for a $5 OEM part! Thanks, Delta

2 1/2 stars, really. While this stopped the leak I was originally trying to fix, it created a different problem. There is a spring in the packing gasket that immediately popped out and is extremely difficult to get back in the groove in the gasket (see photo). I spent far more time trying to repair the spring than replacing the seals and springs. So, 5 stars for the seals and 0 stars for the auto self-destruct on my model (Delta 174-NNWF).

Works great, and even better with just a tiny amount of Danco waterproof grease on the faucet ball, while you've got it disassembled. It dramatically reduces the resistance you feel, which should prolong the life of the valve seats, if it lasts. FWIW, I also greased the sides of the valve seats, the stem of the faucet ball (which was hard to separate from the handle), and the threads of the set screw (which felt like it was going to break my allen wrench).
