            Q:Is the igniter battery powered?

            Answer This Question

A:  Hello, This heater uses a piezo ignitor. No battery is needed, It consists of a small, spring-loaded hammer which, when a button is pressed, hits a crystal of PZT. This sudden forceful deformation produces a high voltage and subsequent electrical discharge, which ignites the gas. Should you need any additional information, please feel free to give us a call at 877-447-4768 or email at customerservice@ghpgroupinc.com. Thank you! - GHP Group

A:  Yes, I do it all the time. I added insulation panels to my garage doors, which helped keep the heat in. Just make sure you have some ventilation in the garage. I have enough cracks/openings around my garage doors that it is sufficient.

A:  Absolutely!!!!  My garage is very cold[no heat] and when i fire this up it warms right up. I also use 2 freestanding electric heaters by my desk and turn the butane off.  I keep this butane heater on a metal cart that holds the tank under and allows easy moving the heater around.

A:  I use mine in a 2 car garage and crack the door a little to be safe. It gets warm quickly and then I turn it down a little to save fuel. If your garage is insulated it should work well.
