clean quiet heat
needs no electricity at all, the pressure of the propane triggers the igniter, so much quieter than my old forced air propane torpedo heater and just as effective. Heated my 20x20 space in 15 minutes, increased the temp by 40 degrees in 15 minutes

    First use review
I am writing this review after the first use of the product. First impressions was it was easy to assemble. Had the unit running within 10 minutes while reading the directions. The product puts out great heat. I have it hooked up to a 20lb tank currently. The heater had my garage go from 40 degrees to nearly 60 degrees in 20 minutes. Mind you my garage is approximately 25x25 no insulation. First impressions, I recommend this product.

      Great buy
This heater was easy to put to geather. The heat coming off this is amazing. It dose use a good amount of LP. Recomend to put a fan near the heater to move the air around. It dose scar you when you first turn it on. After it lights ensure that you hold the nob for another 2 seconds. Only complaint that it dose not have a rubber base so it slides around very easily. You will need to hold the base while turning it on.

Boy does this tool work. If you need to take the chill out of a cold garage or workspace, or want to sit on the patio when it's chilly, this gadget is for you. Instructions aren't the best, but I managed to get it put together.

Heats up my 1200 sq ft garage in 15 minutes at 30F
....30F ambient. The screws provided did not fit the predrilled holes, so I used some drill tip sheet metal screws to position the top. Be advised, this is an inexpensive, lightweight product and as several mentioned, lighting and turning off the heater can be tricky as it wants to scoot on concrete when you push on the piezo lighter knob. I attached my heater to a propane boiler stand with plastic tie straps on the base(not near heat) to secure it and make it taller. This solved the problem of it moving and it is easier to light since the controls are on the base.

This is a great heater for quickly warming up a garage or open room. There is no thermostat which not perfectly clear on the box. It is either on or off. The PRESS and turn to start button require you to have to hold it still or sit it on some nonslip surface like a rubber heavy matt. There’s no ramp up or slow start it just boom, its on. Which once you are used to it does not matter.

Great Propane Heater! Powerful, Portable and Safe & Easy to use
I've purchased quite a few electric heaters over the years to warm our 20x20 garage in the winter. I was always disappointed in the output and all of them seemed to quit working prematurely. I needed a heater that was 1. Powerful - that would quickly heat my space 2. Portable - to use in emergencies or while outdoors 3. Mechanical - simple moving parts that won't break 4. Efficient - use a relatively cheap fuel source. 5. Safe & Easy. The Dyna-Glow 80,000 BTU Portable Convection Tower Propane Heater RMC-LPC80DG exceeded my expectations and can heat up my garage in a matter of minutes allowing me to either shut it off of turn it all the way down and conserve fuel. I would caution that when turning the starter and igniting the pilot the for the first time it may startle you, but no need to worry as the flames stay tucked inside the canister. Also, be sure and hold the starter knob down while igniting the pilot for a 1-2 seconds even after it lights to ensure it is fully lit. I've done a lot of research and believe that for the price this heater is an exceptional value compared to the plug and heat models.

          Works for my space...
Easy to assemble. The only cons are that it sucks gas and you need to keep your space well ventilated. Which helps to defeat the purpose in cold weather. Other than that it kicks heat out great. 1500 sq ft garage and it stays toasty.

          Great Heater For the Price
After my 35 year old heater died, I went and purchased this one. I am very pleased with it. It is adequate to take the chill out of small work spaces. Don't expect to be in your skivvies when it's 25 degrees out and your trying to heat 2000 sq. ft. It will keep you comfortable. If it's crazy cold out ( 0 degrees like it's been lately) Then don't expect to get to toasty and break a sweat. Running this unit on high, non-stop, will suck down a 20lb. tank in no time; it's meant to keep your work zone/area tolerable. It all depends on the area you want to heat ( smaller the better), the level of insulation in the structure and how cold it actually is both outdoors and in. I like this propane type heater over any kerosene type unit because I think there is much less odor and the fuel is easier to deal with.

          Worth the money
I purchased this product a few weeks ago to use in my wood working shop that I have been building. I use to have a torpedo style propane heater and it worked very well. But I really like how much quieter this style is comparatively to the other. It does seem to use more propane though than the torpedo heater. It may just be because of the temperature outside, it has been in the low teens the past couple of weeks? Also the igniter doesn’t want to work as the temperatures fall closer to zero degrees. So bring some long matches? Other than that, I have no complaints, it does what it’s supposed to do.

          Great Heater!
Heater works great had my shop 72 degrees when it was 15 degrees outside! it does burn through a standard propane tank in about 8 hours on high, but that was in extreme cold!

            Propane heater
Works well. Not sure how big an area it will heat, since I'm using it to heat an unfinished house basement so lots of open areas. Easy to set up and get going.

The easiest thing to set up Clean burning No stink! the trade off is instead of liquid fuel you need the tank but for the money and ease of set up I’d take this over the torpedo heater any day, specially in an attached garage

This product generates a lot of heat, which is great. However, there is some risk as it gets very hot, and is well within reach, so one must be very careful not to touch it.
