        A:  The heat generated by the econo-heat 400W is slow and steady. Never felt the need to have a thermostat for them.

          A:  No special stipulation except not near water source for obvious reasons. I have one under a window the place was selected to take advantage of a near by existing plug. It works well. It was installed to minimize the visible cord. Another is in a roomy bathroom but away from water and also takes advantage of an existing plug. We are quite satisfied with the panels that we had installed two years ago.
