A: It depends where you're measuring. The handles are thicker around 3/16" while the base is usually around 1/16"

Q:The description says it can hold 4 kids or 2 adults, but the specifications says 150lbs is the weight limit. Which is correct? Two adults are unlikely to only be 150 lbs.

A: 150 lbs is the safety limit we recommend. We've seen this sled used and tested at over 300 lbs without breaking. The 4 kids/2 adults description relates to the size capacity. Thank you for your question.

Q:What is the actual capacity of this sled? It's marketed as a family sled and one of the photos shows an average-sized father riding with his children, yet the weight limit is 150 lbs. This does not make sense. Thank you.

A: My son who is 90 lbs and 10 years old went down the sled hill one time and and the sled broke into pieces. I would look into a different sled.

A: i have used with me and my grandson, could have another small child on it as well, we also had 2 adults on it, could do 3 but a tight squeeze. I would not use to pull them all up the hill, i think that is where the weight limit comes in affect.

A: I couldn't tell you the materiels but its made of a more durable plastic that is thicker. Its almost like a rubber made roghneck tote. I flew down an ice encrusted hill and hit a post. I survived and the sled just bent and its still as good as new.

A: It's plastic. Not that thick but not overly thin either.

A: Hello, it's very thick and has a lot of rigidity to handle multiple riders. Our sled has always gone the farthest down the hill --- would put it up against any toboggan. Hands down the best plastic sled you can buy for the money. Don't be fooled by the other cheaper and thinner orange sleds that crack after one winter's use. Ours has lasted four years and only finally cracked this year when my 10 year old son and his two friends decided to all go over a 3 foot snow jump on a very steep hill! You can bet I will be buying this same one again now on sale!
