Answer This Question
A: Hi Sue, thanks for your good question. Our material is wood plastic composite, so it can be painted. But i'm not professional in painting and have limited knowledge on paint kind. I have searched the answers from the wesite, please use below as a reference:
a. Water-based and oil-based paints can both work, but it's important to choose a paint that is specifically designed for plastic and has good adhesion properties.
b. Follow the proper preparation techniques: To ensure good paint adhesion, WPC surfaces should be cleaned, sanded, and primed before painting.
c. Apply the paint in thin layers: Thick layers of paint can lead to cracking and peeling on WPC surfaces. Instead, apply multiple thin layers of paint, allowing each layer to dry completely before applying the next.
d: Consider the climate: WPC surfaces can expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity. If you live in a climate with extreme temperature changes, choose a paint that is designed to withstand these conditions.
Lastly, enjoy gardening!

Q:The description indicates there is no bottom. Is this correct? Thus, planter has to be placed directly on ground rather than on a solid surface such as a patio or deck?

Answer This Question
A: Correct, no bottom. It came with a cloth that I set the box on. I placed the box in my garden area on top of pavers, filled with several bags of garden soil. In the summer, I grew a cherry tomato plant in it. It was the largest most productive tomato that I have ever grown. The box made it very convenient to stake/wire, tend, and pick fruit.

Answer This Question
A: It is a cloth liner, so no, I wouldn’t try to move it once loaded.

A: This bottom liner is very sturdy. However, we don't suggest you reposition the bed with soils in it because the soils are very heavy. If you need to move your bed on your deck, we would recommend our elevated garden bed that have a bottom to hold the soils. We have several sizes of elevated garden bed among which there will be a perfect one for you, and you can mount caster wheels for easy mobility.

A: The liner is a strong cloth. I folded it small enough for just the bottom. I would not use it his item on a deck though. It is large, holds about 7 or 8 cubic yards of soil and the bottom is cloth. It’s a great garden bed though.
