A:  A NIOSH M95 respirator mask, not shown, has the best rating among commonly used masks and the high cost of course goes with it. Most masks of the type you are showing offer very little protection against virus. But,, wearing one seems to satisfy the entry requirements of businesses that require a mask. Use of the shown mask would depend on how safe you might want to feel. Me, I would keep some cheap ones in the car if I found myself to be in a Mask Required Situation.

These are made by the Jiangsu Fanya Labour Protective Products Corporation (who, comically, also list themselves as "Limited", in contrast to the strict accountability we see from other, similar brands), in Nantong City, located within an industrial region of Rudong County, in the Jiangsu Province of China. You will also find you get similar levels of protection by purchasing a box of Kleenex and a roll of Scotch tape, for quite literally half the price. And that's assuming you get the good stuff actually made by Puffs and 3M.

A:  It could be worse. It could have wasted your time and your money. Which, being made of paper, with no protection offered, and no certifications to speak of, these masks are most assuredly a waste of both. ...so FirmGrip Masks = money x time. Except time IS money, as we all know... ...so FrimGrip Masks = money x money = money². And i've heard it said money is the root of all evil... ...so FrimGrip Masks = √(money²) = evil. ...so come right down to it, FirmGrip masks are really a means of sending a wire transfer overseas (except you're paying your service fees to Home Depot instead of Western Union), Something I consider particularly heinous because there are those who would believe that, since they're masked, they're being afforded some degree of protection, which, in this case, pulling your shirt up over your nose would literally offer you more of than these masks. That's just evil.
