Q:Can you install multiple units under a counter top side by side? How do you account for the 3" clearance requirement on sides and top? (Especially if it is under a counter.) Confused by this.

Answer This Question
A: Hi, WineFan! This model is designed to be built in and only requires 2-inch clearance at the back according to page 3 of the Owner's Manual. We do not recommend placing them side-by-side with each other as they may generate too much heat and interfere with each others' cooling. In that case, we would recommend leaving some empty space between them. ~Ashton

A: Hello, RWP.
Thank you for reaching out.
Any type of modifications to the cooler may affect its cooling performance, however, removing the legs will lower the unit to about 34” in height.

A: The reply fr Frigidaire suggests that the unit is "Assembled in the USA from global components." For almost 20 years, I've noticed that coolant compressors, a high value component, are being made overseas. My $9,000 GE Monogram 42"x84" refrigerator compressor (about 900 BTU) was made in Brazil, and my Manhattan days Panasonic room AC, an expensive but high performer, had a compressor made in Malaysia (they build high quality products there, like hard dives, digital cameras, etc.).
