A: The reply fr Frigidaire suggests that the unit is "Assembled in the USA from global components." For almost 20 years, I've noticed that coolant compressors, a high value component, are being made overseas. My $9,000 GE Monogram 42"x84" refrigerator compressor (about 900 BTU) was made in Brazil, and my Manhattan days Panasonic room AC, an expensive but high performer, had a compressor made in Malaysia (they build high quality products there, like hard dives, digital cameras, etc.).

Q:Can I leave the bottom feet off to slide it under a countertop- I have 34" clearance and this unit says 34.25" height

Answer This Question
A: Hi, MS! The feet are necessary to elevate the cooler off the floor and provide airflow to and from the cooling system; we do not recommend removing them. The minimum cutout height required is 34-1/4 inches. ~Ashton
