                Q:On June 2, 2022 there are two answers from factory reps that contradict each other. One says there is a drain hole the other says there is not a drain hole. Which is correct? My experience is that units without a drain hole accumulate lots of mold inside.

                A:  Hi, RonF! The water from the air conditioner actually evaporates. When the water builds up it is distributed by the fan sling and thrown up against the condenser. This helps lower the air conditioner's temperature making it more efficient. If there is excessive moisture or it is very humid, your air conditioner may possibly drain from the bottom or rear. -Bianca
