Q:If I install this hood recessed into the ceiling, more than the recommended 36" above the cooking surface, will it void or affect my warranty?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Mike, thanks for reaching out! Your warranty would not be affected if you install your range hood higher than the recommend 36" above the cooktop. However, if you do so, you may notice a drop in performance if you do so. Your vent hood may not be as effective at removing steam and smoke as it would normally be. We hope that this helps! Stay safe.

Q:There's a bracket that says "NOTE: This bracket must be removed prior to installation. Remove 2 back (rear) and 2 bottom screws per illustration below." So...we didn't do that. The thing is, I can't see any reason why it's a problem. I guess they just assumed I would blindly follow them, because they didn't explain what the purpose of it was in the first place and why it's not a stronger unit having it in there. Kind of weird. Any ideas?
