A:  Hello - Thanks for your question; we are happy to help! Burned-on residue cleaning instructions: Allow the cooktop to cool. Spread a few drops of CeramaBryte® (WX10X300) over the entire burned-on area. Using the included CeramaBryte® Cleaning Pad (WX10X350), rub the residue area, applying pressure as needed. For heavy, burned-on residue: Hold a razor scraper ((WX10X0302) at approximately a 45º angle against the ceramic glass surface and scrape the soil. It will be necessary to apply pressure to the razor scraper in order to remove the residue. Keep a small amount of cream on the residue as you scrape. After scraping with the razor scraper, use the scrub sponge to remove any remaining residue. For additional protection, after all residue has been removed, polish the entire surface with the CeramaBryte® and a paper towel. We hope this helps. Thanks for checking. Olga@GEA

A:  I use a razor with some lube like dishwashing soap after letting the burned residue soak for a while. if your not comfortable with a razor use a plastic scraper. If you have a steamer this works good too to loosen things up .

Q:How and or what do you use to clean this glass top on the Gas cooktop?

                Answer This Question

A:  Here are a few ideas depending on the condition of your cooktop. If you have just cooked its best to give the top a quick wipedown with sponge and water which will stop stains from setting in. If you have slight build up some of the glass top cleaner polish available can handle this. When things get bad try a grease cutter , let it set long enough to soften before you wipe. Several applications usually get it cleaned. We have also used a wet sponge put in a microwave the let the sponge sit on the area affected. Now if your experienced with a window scraper IE razor blade, this is where we usually start for badly stained cooktops. Use it with a grease cutter as lube and the blade on edge will get most build up off without scratching. After all cleanings use a cooktop cleaner polish so it will clean up easier next time.
