A: You can cut 1-11/16" maximum depth. You will have to turn over the butcher block after first past to cut through 1.75". You might consider using a standard circular saw to have butcher block cut in first pass. Be sure you use the right blade for whatever you are cutting.
A: This saw has a 4.75 inch blade. After allowing the center axel and blade connection, your maximum cutting debt will be 1-11/16", witch is 3/16" more than 1.5". It is powerful, so be careful. The blade will just cut a standard 2" X 4" on the horizontal side. Be sure the blade cuts entirely through the 2X4, so overs=hoot the 2X4 until it is completely cut through. The blade needed is a standard 4.75" for whatever you are cutting. If for wood, get a wood cutting blade, for ceramic and cement use the diamond blade. Always get the right blade for whatever material you are cutting. Remember the blade gets very hot. If cutting concrete, chunks of cement will wedge between the blade and safety shield. This is a nuisance and difficult to remove. Remember the blade will be very hot. You will feel a little awkward starting on the saw saw because the safety button is inconvenient and you will need two hands to start the motor at one holding the trigger, and the other on the safety button, and use then left hand to lift the safety shield before cutting. Otherwise, this powerful compact saw will cut anything neatly and efficiently. You will need a few practice runs to get the feel of the saw before you cut whatever you are cutting as not to make a wrong cut on whatever you are cutting. Another neat feature about this saw, it can be used for a miter to cut angles on a 3-D block, triangle, or irregular angle. It can replace a table saw or band saw once you get the feel of cutting angles. How cool is that?
A: I know it will cut thru any 2X material. Don't know how thick ur butcher block is. Also the top might be made out of harder woods. So not sure this little saw has the torque needed. If it does you want a fine tooth blade for crisp edge. The 24T blade is more of a general purpose blade. Hope that helps.
A: I don't think so. This machine is way too weak for that. It might cut 3/4 - 1 ". If you go through (cutting) multiply times it might cut it. if you need a precise cut you need a table saw.
A: Hi there! Brushes are not replaceable in the field. Thank you! -The PowerSmith Team
A: Unless you are cutting plastic only, I suggest that you get a diamond blade, and it will last a long time except if you use it on wood.
A: Nothing is mentioned about brushes. Contact: 888-552-8665 Web: www.genesispowertools.com
A: Yes, it has lock system.
A: I do not find a way for continuous running. There is an awkward safety button that you must depress to begin operation and engaging the tigger. Let go of the trigger, and it will stop.
A: Yes...there is a button on the left hand side where your thumb would be. You depress it and hold the off/on green lever. It's not a very comfortable arrangement, and make's it awkward to turn off and on...
A: NO
A: para estos cortes de azulejo, lo mejor es utilizar el Esmeril
A: I never tried on porcelain tile, I think should not be any problem it has a strong motor.
A: I never tried cutting anything but wood....perhaps with the correct saw blade, it could cut porcelain tile. Sorry, I couldn’t help
A: Yes probably will with proper blade
A: Hi there, we only sell a 3 1/2 Diamond blade (GAPCS353) so we can only speak to this blade but it does cut though tile!
A: Yes it should, I would try it on a scrap piece first.
A: The saw doesn't cut anything, the blade does. Get the proper blade for whatever you are cutting, that is diamond blade for cutting porcelain and ceramic. Please remember the blade gets very hot, so let it cool down as not to warp the blade. This saw may be too powerful to cut fine porcelain. Be very careful and try to get the feel before you use on your project. This machine is powerful. Don't overheat the blade.
A: I suspect around 4-5 lbs. But do check the spec sheet from the manufacturer for the exact weight. Compared to a circular saw its truly much lighter and also lighter than the battery operated ones.
A: about 2 pounds
A: It weighs 5.5 pounds. This saw handles very well. The length is a little awkward. The worst thing is that you must start the saw, then manually lift the blade shield to cut. It is not convenient to just cut like a circular saw. Regardless of the weight, be sure to use the right blade for the material that you are cutting. Must remember that this saw only cuts 1 11/16 inches deep...a little over 1.5". This is a very powerful saw. You must tighten the bade frequently, and must tighten very strongly. If you are cutting cement , you can get chunks of cement stuck under the blade shield, it will lock up, and it is very difficult to remove chunks of concrete.
A: The total weight of the saw, with the blade installed, is 5 pounds, 6 ounces.
A: If you look at the specs on the item description it gives weight pf 5.5 lbs. I do not recommend this saw as it is not comfortable to hold/use.
A: It weighs 5.5 lbs.
A: HI there! There is no smallest depth cutting setting, but anything under ½”, you would want to put a junk material backer under it to prevent splintering/breaking. Thank you for your question! -The PowerSmith Team
A: You should be able to cut at 1/8 - 1/4
A: It is totally adjustable, so you can set it at 1/16" or whatever up to about 1-3/4".
A: No he realizado el corte a profundidad
A: It will do the job, I cut 1/4” plexi and it did great
A: You can adjust the cutting depth from zero to the radius of the blade. It should work well for your purposes. The only negative is that the safety button is extremely awkward to depress to engage the power switch. You must turn on the safety button and leave running before you make your cut. There is an element of safety and inconvenience. There is also another issue to consider which is the blade gets loose quite often no matter how hard you tighten the blade locking screw. Plan on tightening the blade locking screw several time while you are working. I have also noticed that the tilting and depth locking screws vibrate lose often, so you will have to tighten the screws for depth and tilt. This will affect the quality of your finished work. Be sure to use the dust and debris directional tube, or risk dust and debris blowing in your eyes and face.
A: Yes, these blades are available. If not in the store, try home depot.com.
A: There is a blade type for every medium and material that you cut. Just ensure that you get the right lade for the project. The stores do not carry all of the different blade types. You can order at Special Order Desk at Home Depot, or on line. Just be sure you use the right blade type.
A: You can get just about any type blade you want
A: Home Depot has several blades, each for specialized applications or materials.
A: You can get almost anything you want, from a variety of wood cuts, to fiberboard, and even concrete. I cut a hole for a dog door in a stucco wall with no problem.
A: todavia no se
A: Not sure how many types are available, but I purchased one for soft metal and another for plastic. The one it originally comes with is sturdy and quite versatile in itself for many uses.
A: Hi there! This compact circular saw comes with a 4 1/2" wood cutting 24T Carbide-Tipped Blade but you can also purchase our 4 1/2" 60-Teeth High Speed Steel Circular Saw Blade separately by searching "GACSB452". We hope you love your new Genesis purchase! -The Genesis Power Tools Team
A: They will probably NOT FIT. The blade will be too large to clear the blade housing .
A: Most 4.5 blades will fit
A: You do not need an adapter, just change the blade for whatever material that you are cutting.
