        Answer This Question

A:  This is optional, but highly recommended. Cover the area of your ceiling you intend to cover with tin tiles with OSB or plywood. Make sure the work area is level, flat and smooth. A 1/4" minimum thickness is recommended. Screw OSB/plywood sheets directly over existing ceiling drywall using 3/4" drywall screws at about 1-foot on-center.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Jamestown Nail-Up Tin Ceiling Tile in Unfinished. The surface area you are applying the tiles to should be clean, dry, flat and structurally sound. If you substrate is heavily textured we recommend sanding down the surface so your substrate is as smooth as possibly prior to installing the panels. If you have additional questions please contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thank you!

            Answer This Question

A:  Yes, the tile is suitable for use behind a stove.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Jamestown Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Unfinished. The tiles can be used in a backsplash application behind a stove; they can withstand temperatures up to 300 degrees. However, the unfinished tiles are susceptible to elements such as water and will rust if coming into contact with it because it is an unfinished tin surface. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thank you!

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Jamestown Nail-up Tin Ceiling Tile in Unfinished. The panels are made of real tin material and do not have the flexibility to be bent around a curve. However, our Fasade backsplash and ceiling tiles give the real tin look with the flexibility of PVC and can be installed around a slightly curved surface. If you have additiona installation questions or are looking for more product recommendations please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750. Thank you!
