Answer This Question

A:  Depends on your application, where are you mounting it? We mount ours to aerial scissor lifts, we drill sheet metal screws through the back straight into a steel plate.

A:  The box should come with 2 metal tabs and screws. On the back of the box, install the tabs with the supplied screws. Once they're tight, you'll be able to mount the box to whatever surface you want.

Q:Plan to run #14 UF cable into the box. What fitting is suggested to use to anchor the cable and maintain the weather proof?

Answer This Question

A:  If you are piping it in you can use a pvc connector. If you are flexing it in you can use a flex connector. If you use one of these methods you can use single conductor wire which is way easier to work with than uf wire. If you want to stick with uf wire you have to find a CGB fitting that is compatible with uf wire.

A:  NO. This box is not intended for use as a ceiling fan support box. It is to be used for outdoor receptacles, switches, photo eyes, etc.

A:  No. I would use a 4" pancake box. It's 1/2" deep box that will sit flush with the sheetrock when installed. You can screw it directly to a joist. If the joist isn't in the center of the room they make ceiling fan boxes with brackets that go between the joists.
