Answer This Question
A: Good question. Most cabinets are 24" so the 25" gives a 1" drop edge. My neighbors had a similar issue. We ripped down a 1-1/2 thick butcher block to make a backsplash. The backsplash took up 1.5" so we created a 26.5" top. It looked good as we put the backsplash up 4" from the surface of the top.

Answer This Question
A: 100% YES. This stain will work great. Pro Tip--if you wanna stain this one time use a flooring grade poly. The flooring grade seems to hold up well over time and keeps the wood looking great for years.

Answer This Question
A: Many factors come into play with this question, including how the block was sealed, how it is installed and the amount of weight that the block will hold. While we have had customers report up to a 13 inch overhang with zero issues, we urge everyone to err on the side of caution when making these choices.
