A:  The wheel fenders are slightly behind the frame so they will protect loads from touching the wheels and not interfere with the frame supporting the weight of what is being transported by the hand truck.

Harper only sells brand new items so I can assure you that this item is NOT reconditioned. We are working with Home Depot to get this corrected immediately. A:  I love my 2 wheeler I use it all the time. I move bags of dirty, mulch and bricks in my yard. I don't know how I got along without it in the yard. When it was time to decorate for Christmas instead of dragging everything around from the shed to the front yard and the tree into the house I wheeled it in and around, It was much faster and easier. I am a very independent single 73 year old living alone and do things without having to ask for my children to help, I have always done things on my on and my 2 wheeler makes it a whole lot easier to continue to keep my independence. My Hand Truck was New

A:  Harper Trucks only sells new hand trucks to Home Depot, no reconditioned trucks.

A:  I would use a strap for the bulkiness of a gun safe but it is rated for 1000 lbs

A:  It is rated to handle 1000 lbs. I have used it on an item I estimate to be 600 lbs. There has been no deforming of the hand truck with that weight. If you know for certain the safe is around 1000 lbs., I think you can trust the engineered design it is supposed to handle. Unlike some hand trucks that use bolts and pins in crucial weight bearing points, this one has welds. I have greater confidence with this design than the others.

A:  I Don't think so I have moved a large freezer I have no idea how much it weight, My safe doesn't sound that big, I moved it to a new place in the garage and did not have any problem, I only have hand guns

A:  Yes, you can use this to move a large gun safe that weighs 989 lbs.

A:  I would be hesitant to put that much weight on a hand ruck of this nature. Even if you could get it off the ground it would be very hard to control and potentially deadly if it fell on you. I called a moving company to move my 650 lb safe from the back of a truck to my basement. It was money well spent ($100). A pro tip - if your safe is on a hard floor, it can be moved easily by tipping it slightly and placing round steel rods, pipes, or wooden dowels underneath it. Push the safe forward and keep putting rollers in front of it. It's surprising how easy it is, especially on concrete.

A:  The hand truck is rated at 1000 lb maximum weight. However, the base of the hand truck may be to small to carry a large gun safe securely. Usually, large gun safes are moved by two four wheel dollies.

A:  The wheels are replaceable they look like they are solid, but I asked if I could buy replacement and they do sell the replacements and they are not expensive. I do a lot of moving of junk so I may have to replace them.

A:  Not in Houston, I bought my in Wylie, took it home and went to work, I use it ever day, I was out of my house because of hail damage for over a year and my yard is a mess and I am just now getting to clean it up. I just retired a year ago, I am doing this myself now and I am at Home Depot almost daily, they almost great me by name.!!!

A:  In Wylie they were all delivered put together, they had just gotten them and had to unwrap them, I bought one for me and the next day I made my daughter go back and by one for her house and she is a tiny person, with a big garden.
