A:  The standard HD casters won't fit this unit as the legs are narrower than the 36" unit. This unit has leveling feet.

A:  NO. The holes for the poles have a slight taper to slide over the plastic clips, holding them inward in the grooves to keep the shelves from moving. If you turned them upside down, they would not fit over the clips. The shelves do have a small lip or trim around the top to keep items from sliding off however. Hope that helps!
