      Answer This Question

A:  No I have checked with them before and I had to buy another light fixture just to replace the lens, but you can check with the manufacturer of the light and see if they might be able to help you get a replacement lens.

A:  Hi Happydm, I don't know and I hope I never have to replace mine, but the first step I would take would be to contact the manufacturer to get pricing and availability. Kind regards, Al

Q:Have a florescent fixture that measures 4 feet x 1 foot. my question is will this light fixture cover the existing hole in my ceiling?

        Answer This Question

A:  How big of a hole is it. The outside dimension of the cover is 12 in. wide. The base that mounts against the ceiling is more like 10.5 in. Likewise the length of the base is around 46 in.

A:  I'm guessing you have a flourescent light that is flush with the ceiling?? I think it will - the rounded part of the light (the cloud part) is a little wider than the base so you should be fine.

A:  I had the same concerns since I was replacing an older fluorescent as well. It worked fine for me. Very satisfied with the end result.

A:  Hello Dan. This light measures 4 foot long by 10 1/2" inches wide at the mounting base. I hope this answers your question. More detail, in my kitchen/dining area I have the 4'x1' light and the 4'x2' light. The 4'x2' light measures 4 foot long by 16 1/2" wide at the mounting base. I would recommend you go with the 4'x2' light. As a plus, with the 4'x2' you would get twice the lighting. Kind regards, Al

Q:when looking up at the fixture you can see the wiring. is there anyway to hide this as no lip or box is in fixture for this.

A:  The wiring is held with clips inside the unit. When the light is on you should not be able to see any wires. Any extra wires could be pushed up into the ceiling via the metal stamped plate. It has sections that can be pushed out with a screwdriver. But you shouldn't have to do that.

A:  Hi Al, I installed these lights last summer. The best way to manage the wiring, in my case, was to knock out a hole in the upper panel of the light. There are 2-3 locations on the panel that have precut knock out spots. I think I used a screw driver and a hammer to get the metal plate to come off. Once that’s done you can pull the wire up into the original light fixture to make the light flush against the ceiling. Also, the wiring was extra long so I shortened the light wires before attaching them. As long as you get an extra hand or two, doing all of this overhead will be less of a challenge. And the lighting is superb!

A:  I had this light fixture mounted on th wall on my master bedroom closet by an electrician. He installed it and there are no wires showing. I love the true light that I have on my closet. I also have one mounted on the ceiling in the laundry room and it is perfect. I don’t see any wire there either.

A:  Yes we see the wiring as we did not see a way to tuck or tape it out of the way. It is really not that big a deal. I have four of these lights now. I love them

A:  I don’t see any wiring with mine - nothing like your picture. You should just use some tape to hold the wire up. It’s only visible because it’s laying down on the cover.

A:  The wiring connection is probably failing. If you have had these lights for within the warranty period, I'd try to get a refund. I'd try to get a refund in any instance with what you are describing. Better yet, don't listen to me, consult an electrician or a light repair business.

A:  likely a bad electrical connection along one of the long LED bulb strands. Probably not fixable or worth the effort to try and fix it.

A:  my only thought of getting a replacement is to buy a new light , because if you need just a lens it will cost you just as much for a replacement lens and it would with a new fixture kit.
