A:  Hi DP, thank you for your inquiry. Please refer to the "Instructions/Assembly" document located in the "Info & Guides" section of the online product page.

A:  Take out the light bulb and remove (unscrew) the ceramic ring at the base of the lamp socket. The lamp glass should loosen and come out now.

    by|Jan 10, 2021

A:  You remove the light bulb then there's a large plastic nut that unscrews releasing the shade

    by|Jan 10, 2021

A:  Hey DP There is a ring that screws on the outside of the lamp socket to hold the shade (fitter) in place. You'll see it there with the bulb removed. There are plastic wrenches made that fit the different size rings out there, but frankly they are really only needed if you’re hanging many of the same fixtures in a building. I have used anything around the jobsite. Toilet paper tube with black tape... Needle nose pliers to catch the ridges in the ring. Thin and long fingers. [with the power off:-] Normal lefty loosey righty tighty rules apply. Here’s a tip: wiggle the fitter as you tighten the ring, it helps get em’ pretty.

    by|Jan 12, 2021

A:  Unscrew the lightbulb and there is also a white collar that you need to unscrew from the bulb base after the lightbulb comes out. Then you can get the glass shade off.

A:  Hi Mo, thank you for your inquiry. This vanity light does not have a a switch on the fixture itself.

      by|Nov 23, 2020

        A:  No, it does not.

        by|Nov 24, 2020

A:  Not that I know of. You connect it like other light fixtures, with an electrical box, wiring, and a switch on the wall.

          by|Nov 25, 2020

A:  This was hard wired to a switch. No other button. Hope that helps.

A:  Penny, I do not see a question that you need answered. However, let me tell you this light fixture will accept up to three 100 watt incandescent bulbs. I suppose there are CFL (compact fluorescent bulbs that could be used as well as possibly some type of LED but keep in mind it has a standard light bulb socket). I hope that I have helped.

            by|Nov 21, 2020

A:  Hi Penny, you are correct. This is a 3-light hardwired vanity fixture that accepts (3) 100-watt incandescent or LED bulbs with a medium base (E-26 base).

              Answer This Question

A:  Yes. That is the way I have mine. Facing down. Less dirt catching in each light shade.

              by|Oct 29, 2020

A:  This vanity light can be mounted on the wall with the shades facing either upwards or downwards. It is not approved for mounting on a ceiling. Thank you!

              by|Oct 22, 2020

A:  Yes. We installed them with the globes facing downward. They are defined to go either direction. They are lovely fixtures too!

                by|Oct 28, 2020

A:  Curious, based on the way you worded your question, I would say NO. I don't believe this light is designed to be installed (mounted) on the ceiling. If you were to install (mount) it on the wall, then I would say YES as the "Product Overview" says it is possible to mount the light with the shades up or down (but that means on the wall, not on the ceiling).

A:  Paul. There are two lamp bases that offer the widest rang of lighting available. This 26mm, Medium, E12, Edison Base is by far the most common. As long as you do not exceed the 100 Watt (incandescent) rating of each socket, you will not exceed the rating. . The incandescent filament produces the most heat, everything else makes less heat. So if you buy the 100Watt “equivalent” CFL, LED, you’re good to go! The next cheapest re-lamp is the 4' Bi-Pin Flourescent standard. By far the widest selection of choices for those two standards. Way better than something that only takes a "special" lamp base @$$$$$.

A:  The length of the bar is 22 in. Note that the width at the bell shades is just over 26 in. Don't know about using LED bulbs.

                          by|Feb 10, 2020

A:  The length of the bar is 22 and 1/2 in. but also consider that the bell-shaped Shades spread 26 inches wide. The light bulbs can be led. I attached a picture of the ones I'm using which I got from Home Depot as well.

A:  Perfect sense! The narrow dimension of the oval canopy is 4 1/2", so half of that is 2 1/4" it is symmetrical. Mine fit in a very tight space above a medicine cabinet and below a window. The main rail extends 5" from the wall. If you want to see my review type, "oval canopy" in the search bar for reviews.
