A:  Hello Pat! I found my review using keyword "extends" in the review search bar for this product. I posted the dimensions there. Here is a partial paste: It also had to extend past the cabinet so the 5" the main rail extends from the wall worked perfectly putting light where we needed it.

A:  Hello Ann, I think you found it! The bar is 31" The glass shades extend past the bar for a total length of 35". I have a surface mount cabinet so the 5" the main rail extends from the wall worked perfectly putting light where we need it. It has regular screw base sockets rated for up to 100 Watt lamps. That gives you a wide choice of incandescent, LED or CFL lamps. It avoids expensive or hard to find "special socket type" lamps! I stayed with traditional 100 Watt incandescent so I didn't have to change my existing dimmer switch! This light is one of many Home Depot offers that is designed to be mounted up OR down. The narrow dimension of the oval canopy is 4 1/2". In our case it fit in a very tight space between a medicine cabinet but below a window. All the light we need with a single fixture box rough in over the cabinet. Hope that my experience with this fixture is a help.

A:  I don't see why it wouldn't work over a tri view mirror as long as you center it over the middle mirror. I installed mine over a medicine cabinet with two doors/mirrors that open from the middle and it looks great.

A:  Hey RAY Here is an edited paste of my review for the Andenne 4-light brushed nickel vanity light. This light is designed to be mounted up OR down. The narrow dimension of the oval canopy of 4 1/2" fit in a very tight space between a medicine cabinet but below a window. It also had to extend past the cabinet so the 5" the main rail extends from the wall worked perfectly putting light where we needed it. It has "normal" medium base sockets rated for 100W (each) leaving the lamp selection wide open. The glass shades are larger, than average (but not huge) and diffuses plenty of light. Hope that is a help.

A:  Yes as long as the mirror is lower than the globes

A:  I see no reason you could not change the globe. Just make sure the hole is large enough on the globe to go over the fixture.

A:  Yes, there is a plastic ring which secures each glass shade to the fixture. So other shades may work depending on size and shape.

A:  As long as the shades have the same style top and same size opening in the top, I don't see why you can't change them.

A:  That sounds like a question for Home Depot.I will say that the glass shades look beautiful in my bathroom. Am guessing that if you searched you might find glass shades that fit the fixture.

A:  Yes, I have this style of light assembly. You could change the glass shades with many available choices.

A:  The metal bar that holds the shades is 301/2” wide. When the shades are installed, it is 34” from the outside of the shades. Hope that helps. We have five of these installed in a living area and love them.

A:  Hi Rod, this fixtures backplate is 4.5 inches tall by 7 inches wide.

A:  Did not personally measure the oval plate, but this is from the specifications and I have no reason to believe it is wrong. "Oval wall plate measures 5 in. H by 7 in." We put it in new construction and it looks great.

A:  The shades are white with just a little marbelizing It is barely noticeable when lights are lit. This fixture looks great. It’s very different. I have had many compliments on this fixture

A:  yes. you can choose the shades and metal finish. the packaging list the metal finish and the shades.
