A: If you had to have it installed probably the easiest way would be to get some masking tape and just wrap around the base of that thing to do your painting. I'm not specifically familiar with this light fixture but normally fixtures of this type are attached to the wall with a couple of small screws that have metal balls on the end so when you look at the at the fixture it looks like small spheres maybe about a quarter of an inch on either side of the light right at the base.
Those spheres are attached to threaded screw that hold the light fixture to the wall.
You would just unscrew them while holding the light fixture. Remember righty tighty lefty Loosey.
The fixture will come out it'll still be wired into the wall so you'll have the white and the black wires connected and there's probably a copper grounding wire connected as well.
The light should be wired well enough to hang from the wires so you can paint the area under the fixture. We don't wait for the paint to dry before resetting the fixture if we are pressed for time. Good luck.

A: There are big nuts that screw onto the light recepticles inside each globe. These nuts are what holds the globes onto the fixture. You had to remove them to get the globes off the fixture.

A: Adjust the Mounting bracket on Step #1 --> pre-installed screws should be at Vertical position. Shims required to make bracket flush with wall.

A: When you say "globe" I assume you mean the glass lampshade. Remove lamp (light bulb)..You need to tighten the threaded ceramic lock ring snug up to the neck of the glass. Be very careful not to overtighten, or it will break. Sometimes you need to wiggle or rotate the glass while tightening the ceramic ring, being careful, these things break easily .

A: Any good quality incandescent bult should work as long as you have a dimmer switch on the wall. I use these round ones and they look great. You could also use an LED bulb but be sure to check to make sure they are dimmable.

A: Look for dimmable bulbs that go down to 10 percent.
