A:  It fits on a standard wall box and will cover the opening. The globes are secured by a thumb screw. Use LED bulbs for best results

A:  I don't know what the 'fitter' is. Is that the part that goes onto the wall? It is rectangle shape and fit nicely over what was on our wall. I would have to go and measure it if that is the thing you mean. Let me know. The glass just sits down in the base it has there, no problem at all. We really like them, are happy with our choice.
