A: The Hampton bay lights are well packaged with all the information you are asking about printed on the box
Make sure that if you want to light the canopy of a tall tree you get the right coverage I had a large palm (26ft) didn’t really know what I was doing until I installed and was like I should have thought this out. I’m 50+ female and just wanted some lights behind my pool. I have the craft down pat now more to think about than I realized in the beginning

Q:my well light has stopped working. I assume there is no way to replace the LEDs. What is the Home Depot warranty on this item?

A: They will do an exchange if they still carry them in stock.
But listen, are you sure the light is bad? A lot of times it’s the wire and/or connectors.
Always run new cable if installing all new lights. And I take a pair of pliers to squeeze the connectors together against the wire. Just be gentle and accurate because they are just plastic and can break.

A: 90 days for Home Depot, but manufacturer is 5 years. I will bet it is not the light but the connector. I had to return several because the connectors broke or the conduit was not correct in the connection.
by|Jun 18, 2019
A: Hi, the bulbs cannot be changed as they are integrated LEDs. If you need Help, please call at: 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (1-800-466-3337). Thank you.

A: There is a 5 year warranty on this item. Home Depot is 90 days, manufacturer is 5 years. Bet your connector is the problem. I had the same thing happen to mine and the connectors broke. Very cheap connectors and the light itself is very nice.

A: Best to consult an electrician for a specific/professional opinion. These lights are sold with instructions for them to be used outside in combination with a low voltage cable that is attached to a low voltage converter box. There is no connection on these to wire them into indoor electrical outlets, junction boxes etc....
by|Mar 26, 2019
A: I would not recommend that. It would be difficult to secure to a ceiling (item sits on ground). Also power supply and step down to 12 volts would be interesting.

A: Hi, thank you for your interest in our product. We do not suggest installing these lights indoors, for landscape lighting systems only. Outdoor use only. Thank you.
by|Mar 25, 2019
A: These are outside low voltage lights
by|Mar 25, 2019
A: No. The installation instructions clearly say for outdoor use only

A: I have five of them at the corners of the front of my house and they light up the house nicely. Just enough light to show off the house without washing it out like flood lights do. They tend to last a long time. The only reason I have replaced mine is a lightning strike that took out all the LEDs in my house.
by|Jan 21, 2019
A: It is not super "bright", but does high light my tree trunk and branches. Works for me since I didn't want anything overpowering.
Can always return it if not satisfied back to HD.

A: We have 2 in front of a townhome that’s approx 25 feet across and it lights up the whole thing nicely but tactfully. The highly recommend these lights because they have endured any weather thrown at them.

Q:Would this light up a 20' Flag Pole
by|Nov 6, 2018

Answer This Question
A: You would probably want to have three of these mounted around the flag pole.
by|Nov 6, 2018
A: Hi, thank you for your interest in our product. This light has 110 lumens so not enough to illuminate the flag pole, we suggest for your needs to look at the product HD33680 which has 2250 lumens. Thank you.

A: We have been using the Hampton Bay LED well light for the last 3 years and found it to be cost effective and durable.
However, we have never considered using it as a submersible fixture.
There are many pond fixtures that are designated for underwater use.

A: To me, landscape lighting is for in ground installation. If you're asking if this light can be submerged in water as a feature, I would ask the manufacturer.
by|May 5, 2023
A: No, this cannot be used under water.
by|May 5, 2023
A: I don't think so, I recently put another one into my landscape. I noticed it is not sealed very well. There was a spot where the wire is exposed at the connector that attaches to mail wire (feed). I used liquid tape to seal. If you try it underwater seal it better than the factor.
by|May 5, 2023
A: I have had mine for 3 years with no problems in my landscape. They are sealed from moisture. So I suppose they would work under water. However, if the seal ever leaks the fixture would be ruined. Mine are out in the rain, snow etc. and have not leaked.
