A: We used on day 1 and it is really good. In fact webused for Bbq and it worked file.. just put the stainless steel grill on it and start grilling. I put the foil underneath the coal so it does not damage the bowl.

Q:It says it's a 38" square, but the dimensions show 22.63" - is the 22 the inner burning square and the 38 is edge to edge?

A: Yes you are right. 22.63" x 22.63" is dimensions of fire bowl. 38" x 38" is dimensions of table edge to edge.

A: Yes, but using anything dealing with fire can have issues. Sparks could burn grass and enough heat from fire could scorch grass.

A: Very simple to empty the ashes - the fire pit area is light and I simply pick it up and empty it into a garbage bag once it has cooled. I find it sturdy and solid. Love using it as a table then transforming it to a fire pit at night.
