A:  Kate, one question I have for you. How old is the light? A rechargeable battery should last a year, possibly a year and a half. If you have to replace a battery just remove the top portion, (the section with the bulb) and remove the cover to the battery. Push the battery from the positive side towards the negative side (the side with the spring) and pop it out. Reverse the process to replace. Hope this helps.

A:  No. The lights each have a rechargeable battery already installed. The battery is recharged by the solar panel during the daylight hours.

A:  Yes, 1 each Double A battery. AA

      by|May 6, 2023

A:  No they come with batteries but you need to remove the plastic tag

      by|May 6, 2023

        A:  Comes with rechargeable batteries

        by|May 6, 2023

A:  Yes, but they do have batteries in the initial set.

        by|Oct 16, 2018

A:  They already have batteries in them. When you are going to put them around the yard, you just pull out the paper tab so the battery makes contact. These are very good looking lights and also nice and bright.

        by|May 6, 2023

A:  Not for a very long time. We've had a few sets of these. They work out of the box after being out in the sun to charge after a day or two and last for several years. After which time, the rechargeable batteries tend to hold their power and you can replace them. Or not, seems cheaper and easier to just buy new solar lights. (usually every 3-4 years for our household). These are fantastic lights for the price!

        by|May 6, 2023

A:  They have a rechargeable included.

          by|May 6, 2023

A:  No, they are charged daily by the sunlight. I’ve had mine for 2 years now and they still put off the same amount of light as they did when I first purchased them.

A:  The color of the lamp mimics oiled bronze but is closer to black. The light is not warm but it doesn't have a blue tinge like an LED. Essentially, a standard white light - fortunately it's not very bright so it isn't an eyesore.

A:  Absolutely not. They use rechargeable batteries that are made specifically for solar products. They are usually sold in packages of 4. Be sure and check your size because there are many different kinds.

A:  Not a good idea. Alkaline batteries are not designed to be recharged and may self destruct, taking your light with it. Always better to use batteries that are designed to be recharged. Be safe and Merry Christmas.

A:  ABSOLUTELY NOT -- Just as you can't put normal batteries in a recharger. They could explode, and will at least leak corrosive liquid in and around the device they are meant to power, damaging the device and likely voiding any warranty that comes with it. USE RECHARGEABLES.

A:  Perhaps an obstruction or slight obstruction or, the angle of the light is off a bit causing the difference between the lights. We don't use the lights as "Pathway Lights". We have ours located around flower beds and in planters around our deck. We haven't had any problems with out lights.

A:  Sounds like a short or something like that. Does it light up on it's own, or do you have to work with it to get it lit? Maybe the wires aren't attached solid enough. I have not had this problem with any of my lights, and I bought 8 boxes of them. Wish I could help more.

A:  Could be a problem with the Solar LED lights caused by loose wire or a short. That's only a guess. If you purchased this item with a Home Depot card, you can return it to the store with a no hassle refund.

A:  Set 3 of the 6 in a pot filled with rocks. Decided to move them around a bit for better light distribution. Suddenly, one that had been working suddenly stopped working. I fiddled with it, and then it would light. But when I attached the top to the base, it would go out. This went on and on until I gave up, threw it in the dust bin, and cut my losses. Will NEVER buy Hampton Bay lighting products again. My advise: turn it in to Home Depot for a refund, or do what I did. It isn't HD's problem, 'cause they didn't make them. Am sure they don't want to sell cheap stuff.
