Q:CAN I USE THEM THE SAME I BUY THEM

    Answer This Question

A:  The Hampton Bay Solar Outdoor LED Landscape Path Light performs exactly as promoted....initially. As dirt, dust, and solar UV degradation on the photocell result in reduced illumination and ultimate failure, I replaced the solar light fixtures with a 12-volt LED system for about the same cost that was much more work to install but worth it.

    by|Jan 25, 2021

A:  Sure. The battery will power them and the next day the sun will charge the battery again

      by|Jan 22, 2021

A:  If you are asking if I can use them the same day I get them. Yes, just make sure they get sun light.

      by|Jan 27, 2021

A:  You can use them as soon as you receive them. Mine were not bright and didn’t last long as people bumped into them and the plastic wasn’t sturdy. Good luck with yours. They look nice

        by|Jan 22, 2021

A:  I USED MINE THE SAME DAY AND WORKED WELL. BUT PUT THEM JWHERE THE SUN HITS THE SOLAR PANEL.

          Answer This Question

A:  I couldn't find stakes, so I got some dowels that would fit inside and cut them to length plus a little bit extra to go in the ground.

A:  Very attractive. Easy to install. Very poor light spread. Only 1 out of the 6 still works. I like the idea of solar and saving the planet. But, I prefer the old 4-watt Malibu pathlights. Of the 10 I have had for 23 years, 10 are still working. That being sad, the plastic lens is breaks down in the sunlight and Malibu is out of business. There are low voltage Malibu-like pathlights stll available by other manufacturers. I have made 2 modifications to my Malibu pathlights. I replaced the 4-watt incandescent bulb with an LED. And I replaced the plastic lens with glass by using a glass jar upside down. I'm good for another 23 years. Solar will get better.

A:  Can't say, I saw the same. I was able to ship to the store, for a free pick up and so I could get the product.

Q:I purchased solar lights previously. I have a bright front porch light that I turn on at night and find that when I do, it causes the solar lights sitting a few feet in front to turn off. Does other direct light interfere with the illumination of solar lighting?

A:  Yes, my experience is that any light that shines on these causes them to shut off until the light is no long on them.

A:  Yes. Any sufficient light sources will impact solar panels and turn of the LEDs

A:  Yep, it will turn off the solar powered lights

A:  No, I have dusk to dawn lights on both side of my garage door and they do not interfere with these solar lights which are placed on both sides of the driveway brightness at all.

A:  Yes. No bright lights should be around the solar lights.

A:  I brought these lamps to Maine last year. I am a less than 6 months resident in Maine and this is the second year that they have worked beautifully. When I come home at night my way up the first few steps is lit very well. I am in love with these lights and they were a great purchase and worth the money. David

A:  I have had mine over a year. No problems. Try to keep them in the sunshine as much as possible.

A:  I had them for 2 years and worked fine. So not sure about the possible reasons for the shorter lifespan.

A:  The clear part is actually plastic but it’s relatively strong and not fragile. They hold up well unless you hit them hard or run over them.

A:  It’s plastic and is sturdy enough for the price. I wouldn’t hit someone with it but it’ll sustain getting knocked over with by a dog.

A:  No. It is clear plastic like. Not glass. The ones we have for 3 years now are still in really good condition.

A:  No, they're fixed and it would be easier to replace the whole thing than to replace the single LED inside.
