Q:Is the remote IR or RF? Important to me, cause I want to control my fans with Bond in a central location, and IR makes that a challenge.

        Q:Now I find out it's impossible to function this fan without the remote, what happens if my child breaks it, or I drop it and it breaks, or I lose it, how can I ever function the fan again? And don't try to say "don't break it or lose it." You know dang well we lose and break things. Have you never dropped your phone?

                A:  Yes. Love this fan and it runs so quietly. The light is very soft and dimmable and the remote is a nice added touch. I am ordering another one once its back in stock.

                        A:  Yes, please see the instruction manual page 10. The receiver needs to be adjusted to accept the dimming feature.

                              A:  Sorry for your troubles! Hold the button with the icon that resembles sun rays. The longer you hold it, the light will get brighter and then dim back down. You may want to call the manufacturer if that doesn't work for you.

                                  Q:The description says that the assembled height is 13.86 in, does that include the downrod, or would that add another 4.5 inches? The ceiling I am thinking about installing it on is only 7.5 ft. I want to make sure that this would work. Can anyone tell me how low it hangs down from the ceiling. Thanks
