A: The color on your computer screen will never really be 100% accurate for anything you look at on-line. I purchased two of these for our condo. The blades are actually made from real wood there will be color variations in the wood due to the normal/natural grain of the wood. I think the fan looks really sharp! The wood is also much thicker than I expected- most fans in this price range I have purchase over the last 40 years have junk material in the fan blades, unless you happen to find one with metal blades.
A: In my opinion, yes. They are made of real wood stained, not MDF. I would say they look like a cherry stained teak.
A: Yes. See photo.
A: You may see the true color on the first video available on the left of the product picture.
A: Yes and this is a lovely fan. The picture does not do it justice. I have this fan in each of my bedrooms.
A: Yes it is.
A: No. It's not a user serviceable item in the fan.
A: The lights for these fans seem to each be a little different regarding their size and tabs and mounting method. The light from this fan is quite nice when turned down a bit. So, I don’t recommend changing it out and you’d have a very hard time to find a fit. I’d honestly leave it alone. But you can always write or call the Manufacturer to be sure. Good luck.
A: I’m not sure if you can change the led light, I didn’t look into that when I installed them ... I’m sure you can replace them some how ... I really love my fans though they look great and work well
A: No. The led is built in and they are embedded on a circuit board. If you have extremely good soldering skills, then maybe you could swap out all of the diodes. You would surely lose your warranty doing so.
A: No thr led is specifically a light fir the fan. Once it's burnt out its done.
A: No other light kit option for this bulb.
A: Yes I think so. But I’d not want a fan over my table blowing air. Why not just get a light fixture??
A: The light would be more than adequate for a dining room as it provides excellent light in a 20' X 20' family room. You will probably have to dim it.
A: Adequate but probably not exactly what you would want for a dining table.
A: No. The light is really not adequate. It's more like a spotlight......
A: I'd say so. We have three of these and love them. They do not put out broad light, to light a full room for example. They shine more like a spotlight, so it should work for a dining room table -- but probably not to light the whole dining room.
A: I would say yes, however, it’s slightly a harsher sort of downlight. LED’s are not really warm looking, but if you like cooler white lights then you’ll love it. And if it were say a table seating 4 it would work better. On a larger dining table it might look off. But it’s so beautiful to look at I would think it would be beautiful anywhere.
A: This is an absolutely beautiful fan. The direct light is not bright enough to put over a dining table. I added recessed lighting and have table lamps.
A: Yes. That's where I installed mine.
A: I installed this in my daughters bedroom and it looks and works great for a bedroom, but I don't know about a dining room. I would compare the lumens between what you currently have and this light.
A: Yes. In my opinion and from my experience having owned 6 of these Reagan ceiling fans in 2 homes since 2014, the LED light is very capable of providing sufficient lighting for a small to medium sized dining table. We use these fans in medium to large bedrooms and the light is great. The dimmer adjusts from fairly dim to very bright, so you can control it before, during and after a meal. Obviously you can have the on with the LED Off as well.
A: My only thought is to wire it to an on/off switch. Not a good answer. If your unit has a serial number, perhaps the company can match the replacement to the same frequency. One more note... put the light on a dimmer.
A: Yes, please call Home Decorators Collection at 1-800-986-3460 for assistance with your order.
A: You just need to get the same code combination on the fan and on the remote. You will not need to rewire. Just match the code combination.
A: I think you can. Just call support and see if they have one. They are very nice might even send one. If you wrote down the order of the 4 switches just set new one the same.
A: You can certainly add a wall switch to this light, but in my opinion, it would be a waste of your time. This fan comes with a remote control. this remote allows you to control the fan remotely, without the need for a wall switch..... This fan simply needs straight power to operate. If there is power hooked up properly in the junction box above the fan, all of the fan's functions can be controlled with the remote, even through some walls, in certain cases..... I hope this helps.... Steve.
A: This fan comes with a hand held remote that controls turning the fan and light on/off as well as the speed of the fan. It also comes with a small plastic wall mountable cradle to hold the remote. So, the remote, when in its cradle, functions as a wall switch. There's no need to buy a separate universal wall switch system. I have 3 of these fans in my home and they're excellent.
A: Please call Home Decorators Collection at 1-800-986-3460 to purchase a compatible wall remote for this model fan.
A: I have not tried to hook up a 'universal wall switch,' I simply use the hand held controller. Love the Fan!
A: We bought two to replace two inside older fans controlled with one wall switch. It worked well and was easy to install to wall switch. Highly recommend!
A: I don't know....I have a regular wall switch installed with this fan....what do you mean by universal wall switch? Do you want to control multiple fans with the same switch? I think if you put this outside, it won't stand up to weather.
A: Not sure what a universal wall switch is, but mine is hooked up inside to a wall switch. It shuts off power to the fan and the light. I could’ve had the fan bypass the switch and just used the switch for the light, but I prefer to leave it at my most used setting and just toggle it all off when I leave the room.
A: Hi Aidael. There should have been a warranty registration card in the box. Fill it out and mail it in or simply go online like I did. They have a website on the registration card. Hope that helps.
A: It should have come with a registration card that you mail in. If not, you can probably do it at the manufacturer’s web site.
A: I imagine it is since it claims in the specifications that it is energy efficient.
A: I'm not sure what you mean exactly...Our fan was installed by our builder and it works off an electrical switch like any overhead light. He put a fan speed control switch on it as well. I hope this helps. It is a beautiful fan.
A: All motors on ceiling fans are AC
A: No, it's an AC motor.
A: No dc motors it has a battery in remote control ! My wife and I love the fan!
A: No. It is AC.
A: I have 3 of these and don't have this problem with this model but I do have the exact problem with another model by Home Decorators, Very frustrating!
A: Take the lens off the lamp and see if it goes away. I found that the heads of the screws that hold the glass lens in its stainless steel rim were sticking out and hitting the insides of the blades. Tighten them and that should cure your problem.
A: Good day. I am sorry your fan is making a noise, they can be quite annoying, for sure.... I have experienced many different noises from ceiling fans and the resulting problems that caused the noise. The first thing I would suggest is to re-tighten the fasteners that hold the blades on, both at the motor as well as at the blades themselves. If that doesn't work, you may have a wire that has worked its way down and is acting like a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle. So check for anything that may be rubbing against the blade, or the blade holder. Be sure to check inside the shroud that is around the motor, as it may not be visible from the outside. I hope that works! Steve.
A: Definitely not normal, you should probably request a replacement. I own 3 of these fans in various rooms and mine are dead quiet on all speeds. I could may guesses as to the issue but I suggest just exchanging it.
A: I have two of those fans. They both run smoothly. However I don't run them constantly, only short periods of time.
A: Unfortunately Home Decorators and Home Depot don't seem to sell replacement LED although it is a Samsung module and it is easily removable, not sure if non-industrial customers could buy 1 unit. You wouldn't want to go higher wattage, it is already very bright and hot. Almost like a halogen.
A: 16 watt LED Light kit is the max wattage for this fan model only the original part is available. If replacement is needed, please call Home Decorators Collection at 1-800-986-3460
A: Nope. The LED is integrated into the fan.
A: No, the LED is integrated into the fixture.
A: I have it hooked up to 2 switches. 1 to turn on the light, 1 to turn on the fan. But I still have the remote to control the fan speed. I’ve purchased so many fans, and this one is my favorite, absolutely beautiful.
A: This fan's remote, when it's in its supplied wall holder, acts like a wall switch control. There's an on/off switch for the fan and 3 buttons for the fan speed (slow, med. and fast). There's also an on/off switch with dimmer for the LED light. You also have the option to connect this fan up to a wall switch if you'd like. The fan and light will then only function if the wall switch is in the 'on' position. I hooked my bedroom fan to a wall switch. This allows me to set the settings on the remote just how I want them (fan set to 'low', the light set to 'on' with the dimmer to a medium brightness) and then just the wall on/off switch can be used to turn both on and off. I hoped this helped a bit, Tim
A: It comes with a remote, and just by pure luck I noticed it is a 12 v DC motor, if I'd have wired it to 110v in ceiling and the wall switch it'd be destroyed., the remote is nice, but just one more remote to watch over, have so many nowadays.
A: I have my downstairs one hooked up through one switch. The remote works as long as the switch is on. The one in my upstairs room has the light hooked up on a separate switch, so the fan is operated with the remote, and the light is not (Separate switches es for each). It’s up to you as to how you want to hook it up. If you don’t wire in the remote receiver inside the fan you will only have high speed. I wouldn’t recommend bypassing it. Hope this helps!
A: It can be hooked up to a light switch. Then you can use the remote to turn on/of the light and set the fan speed. Whatever the fan is set on (from the remote) when you turn off the light is what you will get when you turn it back on with the light switch. It is a BEAUTIFUL fan and very powerful. I love mine.
A: We have ours hooked up to a light switch and it works perfect. Love this fan!
A: I love these fans and have owned 6 of them in two different houses. In all 6 situations, they are hooked up to a single light switch which turns the entire fan unit on or off. When the light switch is turned on, the remote control takes over from there. And, it remembers how you left the remote control settings. So if you have the fan set to low speed and the light on, then flip the wall switch off as you leave room, when you return and flip the switch on, it remembers and brings the fan on to low and turns the light on again.
