              Q:I understand that the remote can be eliminated by rewiring without wirelss harness. If I go this route, can I use a compatible speed switch to control fan speed? I see Home Decorators Collection fan speed wall controls for other series, just not this one.

              A:  Thank you for your question. Yes, this fan can be installed with wall mounted controls instead of the remote. We would recommend a switch like the Lutron Maestro switch (model # MACL-LFQH-WH).

                A:  Thank you for your question. The fan includes enough wire for use with extension downrods up to 48" in length. If using a 6ft downrod, you will need to call Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460 to order extra extension wire.

                  A:  Thank you for your question. We are not sure about a wire mold fan box. Any outlet box used must be rated for ceiling fan use of up to 35LBS.

                    A:  Thank you for your question. The fan can be wired to switches instead of the remote control. To wire the fan to switches instead of the remote, you will need to cut the wire harness from the end of the fan wires. Once cut off, you will have 3 separate wires: Black (fan speed power), blue (light power) and white (neutral).
