A: The HDA50400AV Pistol Grip Blow Gun is not OSHA compliant.
A: Yeah, it's cheap. Couple bucks
A: The end of this air gun is a threaded, female fitting. You may need to purchase fittings to allow this connection with a "quick connect" style of plug.
A: Yes, you can buy an assortment of fittings for 5 bucks. Every air tool I have bought needs one. They don't know if your running 1/8" 1/4" or 3/8" even though 95% of tools are 1/4".
A: The tube made of steel.
A: Plastic
A: The tube is aluminum.
A: Steel
A: Yes
A: The handle is internally threaded so you'd use a female connector. I used a 1/4" female as it goes to a 1/4" hose for a portable compressor. While you could use an adapter for the larger size hose I'd keep in mind the manufacturer recommends not exceeding 100 psi as well as the extra weight of dragging or pulling on a larger hose by the blow gun.
A: Yes, you may need a "1/4" to 3/8" reducer, I think you can buy a 3/8" male air fitting to thread into the handle
A: Yes you can purchase 3/8" plugs with a 1/4" threads
A: Yes, this is designed for 3/8" fittings. I use 3/8 HF fittings on mine, but it will accommodate any style you prefer.
A: Answer is likely a NO. If you want OSHA rated products consider GuardAir instead.
A: I doubt it as there are no bypass holes, in case some idiot places it against someone's skin and hits the trigger. One of the cardinal rules they taught us in shop classes years ago was the danger of compressed air if someone was to horse around with a blow-gun. There is the possibility of injecting an air bubble under the skin where it could work its' way to the heart, this would be a VERY bad thing. As long as you use this tool with common, perhaps better than common, sense there is no danger to anyone.
A: This week it does.
A: Isn't the OSHA requirement based on the air pressure SUPPLIED to the blow gun? Although the trigger allows you to "throttle back" the airflow, it will deliver the air pressure supplied to it. If you want to use this for blowing sawdust off of your clothes, you'll need to regulate the supplied airflow to a safe pressure.
A: I think I'm understanding your question- the "female" insert in the blowgun is 1/4" npt. so if you have a "male" quick connect (I use type "m") that will plug into your airline's female quick connect, then all should be cool- the different types of connections can be confusing (I life 80+ miles from ANY store) so I buy a dozen of both male and female type "m", your airline can be 1/4" or 3/8" or 1/2" as long as the fitting connecting mates w/ the one on your tools and connection on the compressor (for a pancake type 1/4" airline would be better) , if you add an "extra" air tank in line of your system, the compressor will last much longer (more volume of available air) means less work on the pancake compressor - I prefer the "oil type" as they last longer than "oilless"- I hope this helps
A: Yes
A: You install your own adapter ( sold Separately ) so yes.
A: Will it fit? Yes with an adapter. The ID (inner diameter) is 1/4, the outer diameter (which is relevant to your compressor) is 3/8 and will not fit without an adapter. This is going to use MUCH more air than your compressor will be able to supply, that will be problematic if you intend to use it a lot. A few 5-10 second shots would empty out that tank very fast.
A: NA. The male is never universal. Only the female.
