Q:Hi - can this door (48" width X 96" height) be cut down to fit an opening that is only 90.5" in height?

Answer This Question
A: Dear VinH, You can cut the height and would be cheaper option than a custom door. Just make sure whomever does it is skilled and has the right tools. You will need to remove, cut, replace the hardware on the top edges. Thank you

A: I called the vendor 631-414-7725 referred by HomeDepot. I was told " the wall aligner is not included anymore because it is only useful for non temperature control room like basement". But they promised mailing me Wall Aligner for free.

Q:In pictures and reviews it is hard to understand...is the "white" option painted white? I read complaints about scratching and staining and then ImpactPlus response being that door is primed and needs to be painted...so can you clarify if selecting "white" option is it painted white? Also, for the trim, on some images the chrome appears to be ridged and in others it is smooth...which is it?

Answer This Question
A: Dear curiousCloset, we have both white and primed. Our white is actually 3/4" white melamine that is edge banded and is technically pre-finished and very durable and easy to clean. Our primed is a painted on coating and is not prefinished and if not eventually painted is does not clean up well is if it gets messed up a little. The White and Chrome track are exactly the same and are smooth. Our Slider track is ridged Im not sure if maybe thats where you saw that? hope this helps, Thank you.

Q:What is the difference between the "Chrome Trim" in this model (primed finish), and the "Matching Trim" (primed finish) of the similar BFP348-10880W? I don't see any difference in the images.

Q:I intend to install this in an existing metal door frame/jamb that cannot be removed (see attached photos). The width where the previous door was installed is 36" from jamb to jamb. The height is 79.5" from the hardwood floor to the jamb. The door needs a 0.75" clearance to allow for an area rug on the hardwood. Will ordering the 36"x80" door work? Can the door panels be trimmed, if necessary? Thanks for your guidance!

Answer This Question
A: Dear Alexander, You should be fine. the width is good and there is a 1/2" adjustability either way on height and you can adjust if its catching your rug it should not though as you will have about 1.25"+/- clearance at the bottom. Just be sure the top track is level and secured properly if you are working with an existing non removable old metal track situation. Thank you.
