A: The vessel sink is designed to sit on top of the counter not recessed into the counter. It can be set in the counter with your own custom template.

Q:Why do you have reviews here that are obviously for entirely different sinks than this one - the Elavo Small Round Ceramic Vessel Bathroom Sink? There are reviews under this item that mention an 'undermount' sink, a rectangle sink, and a 'perfectly square' sink. Misleading! Now I'm not sure if I want to buy anything from you at all.

Q:why does this sink have to have a 4 inch hole cut in countertop? Other vessel sinks you sell recommend 2 inch. A two inch hole, with the nut from the pop up drain installed underneath the granite countertop would offer more stability and prevent it from moving. I'm wondering how this stays in place.

We recommend a 4" hole in the countertop, to ensure there is enough room for the concave washer of the drain assembly to be able to get pressed up against the bottom of the sink directly.
