Answer This Question

A:  You have 3 options to recharge the internal (ICR16340 3.7V 600mAh) battery in the weather radio. 1) Use the solar panel by placing in direct sunlight for 10-12 hours to recharge; 2) Use the mini USB input/output jack (located under antenna) by connecting a charging cord (not included) from the mini USB port and plug into a USB power source (maximum voltage should be 5.0V); or, 3) Extend the Hand Crank on the back of the radio. Rotate clockwise at a rate of 130 cycles/minute (1 minute of cranking will provide 30 minutes of power) Red LED light will illuminate to indicate charging. Green LED light will indicate fully charged battery. If the display is blank make sure that you have fully recharged the battery, then press the RESET button once (a small pinhole near the antenna, where the crank handle rests.
