Q:Can polyvinyl or vinyl floor/exercise mats be used on top of LifeProof luxury vinyl plank flooring? Have read to avoid rubber products but have not seen anything about these other materials and whether they would cause any damage to the flooring.

A:  Thanks for your question. Rubber and latex are the only things that should not be used on the floor. There are compounds in them that will permanently discolor the wear layer of the planks. PVC and vinyl haven't been seen to cause any issue.

      Q:Both the product box and the use and care manual say this is steam mop approved. How come in the questions, the manufacturer is saying this is not steam mop approved? What gives??

      A:  Thanks for your question. The guidelines recently changed so you may see older answers saying no to steam mops. Steam is approved now. Just use the lowest setting and don't leave it in one spot for too long.

        A:  Thanks for your question. The planks are exactly the same construction-wise. The only difference is the 30 mil is a thicker wear layer so it will hold up better to wear and tear.

              Q:If I order a pallet, does it come shrink-wrapped so all the store has to do is forklift it onto my trailer? Thaks

              A:  Thanks for your question. Every pallet that's shipped from our warehouse is shrink wrapped. Sometimes the stores will take the shrink wrap off to check for damage when they receive it but it can be re-wrapped if necessary.

                A:  I've found in my kitchen's HD flooring, it's very wise to get fire retardant mats to place well around the woodstove's door. Trust me. Several years later I'm finally repairing scorch marks from a different vinyl flooring.

                  A:  Thanks for your question. As long as the planks will not get over 100 degrees, it should be ok to install around/near a fireplace but sparks/embers can burn the surface of the planks.

                    Q:Will there be a problem with I mistakenly installed one row with only a 4 inch stager to the next row? It is in the middle of the floor, the rest are all correctly staggered. Or should i try to remove it?
