      Q:Can this be used to reattach existing base trim (removed by contractors) to the plaster walls?

      A:  Thank you for the question. Loctite Power Grab All-Purpose Construction Adhesive may or may not work in the project described depending on the composition of the base trim and condition of the plaster walls. This is a latex, water-based product and requires at least one bonding surface to be porous. This adhesive will not cure when bonding two non-porous substrates. Assuming the plaster walls are sealaed or painted, which would be required, the base trim would need to be porous.

        Q:Does this product have a rating for how much weight it will carry? I want to use it to glue a 12 lb plaster ceiling medallion to a drywall ceiling, but I am not sure if I need to add some mechanical fasteners.

        A:  Thank you for the question. Loctite Power Grab All-Purpose Construction Adhesive may be used for the application described as long as one of your bonding surfaces is porous otherwise the adhesive will not bond or cure properly. Also keep in mind this construction adhesive should not be the sole means of support and the use of mechanical fasteners is recommended for safety reasons.

          Q:I just replaced my can lights with LED flush mount led lights that go into existing can light. Trim ring will not stay tight to ceiling will this work the lock tight glue if not any suggestions please.

                Q:The manufacturer of my mineral fiber celling tile recommends adhesive but does not name a specific brand or type. Would this work for mineral fiber ceilings?

                A:  Thank you for the question. Loctite Power Grab All-Purpose Construction Adhesive would not be recommended for this application. Mineral fiber ceiling tiles should be installed with staples or finishing nails, if for no other reason than safety. Glue can be used if you want but not to replace the staples or nails.

                  Q:Can this product be used to attach a three eighths of an inch thick, 36 x 27 inch drywall to a plaster wall? If so, will screws be needed? Will the drywall be heavy for the adhesive? Will it hold instantly or does one need to hold it up for a few minutes?

Loctite Power Grab All-Purpose Construction Adhesive may be used for bonding drywall to a plaster wall, as long as the plaster wall is in structurally sound condition with no evidence of deterioration.
