Q:My daughter just got this for her bed and it feels firm. We were thinking this would have a softer, sinking feeling. Does it need time to soften up?

Answer This Question
A: Hey Tracey,
This mattress is designed to have a firm feel and great support, but comfort preferences vary between users and we understand if this is not the perfect mattress for you.
If you'd like, adding a topper is an easy way to instantly add a plush layer of comfort to a too-firm bed. We also offer other mattresses and we would be happy to help you choose one that will be more comfortable for you.
Reach out to us at: online@lucidmattress.com and we will help you find a solution or assist with a return to Home Depot. Your satisfaction and comfort are very important to us.
Thank you!

Q:What is the actual pound density rating for this mattress 2#,4#,6#or 8#?
by|Feb 12, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hey Lloyd, that's a great question! We do not post our foam densities online, as they can be deceiving. Many people are under the impression that the lower the density, the firmer the foam will feel. This is not always true. The feel of the foam depends a lot on how the foam is formulated and the composition of the foam itself. Please reach out to us at info@lucidmattress.com so we can help answer any other questions you have about the density.

A: The mattress is probably safer than whatever you intend to cut a giant piece of compressed foam with. It doesn’t “pop” open when the bag is opened.

Q:Am I able to cut 5 inches off the
length end of this memory foam pad?

Answer This Question
A: Hey Nancy,
Yes you can cut 5 inches of the length but we do not recommend it as it will void the warranty. If you have any other questions please reach out to us at info@lucidmattress.com Thanks! Lucid. Beds for the Whole Family

A: Yes, you can cut it, place the pad on the floor, use a piece of cardboard to protect the floor. Use a wooden board as a cutting guide and to compress the pad. Use a sharp utility knife to cut the pad, making sure you cut all the way through.
