Answer This Question
A: Hello Susan! The original Skylark and the Skylark Contour LED+ dimmer both use TRIAC dimming, which is neither PWM or CCR. While the original Skylark dimmer was not rated for use with LEDs. Answer This Question
A: Hello, thank you for your question. This Skylark Contour LED+ Dimmer is a slide-to-off model and does not have a separate on/off switch. For a version of this product with a slider and separate switch for on and off control, see the below Skylark Contour dimmer model CTCL-153P:

Q:I'm looking to buy this LED light fixture, https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-13-in-Oil-Rubbed-Bronze-Color-Changing-LED-Ceiling-Flush-Mount-2-Pack-JJU3011L-2-ORB/305607241 Is this dimmer compatible?

Answer This Question
A: Hello Kristen, thank you for your question. Currently, there's no industry standard or regulation for manufacturing LEDs, which is why performance varies with dimming controls. That's why we extensively test a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers, and upon checking our data, we have not tested the fixture in question with any of our dimmers including the Skylark Contour LED+ Dimmer. However, a lack of a test result on our part does not imply incompatibility, and per the specs of the fixture, the CTCL-153P model dimmer in question should be suitable for use with the desired fixture.

Q:Can I use this for any Porch lights?

Answer This Question
A: If you’d like a dimmer on the porch, you’d need to switch out the lights with the switch.
by|Dec 4, 2022
A: Yes you can, as long as the porch lights are using an edison based, screw-in, dimmable, LED or standard incandescent light bulb. If your porch lights are LED & contain an integrated LED driver, then it would not be the correct dimmer to use.
