Q:I have some Knape & Vogt KV82 shelf brackets and wooden shelves. I am looking for a foam tape to put on the bottom of the shelves where they contact the brackets to aid in "locking" the shelves into place without screwing them down. I do not want a double-sided tape. I want the tape attached to the shelves then have the compression of the foam to keep the shelves from sliding either side-to-side or front-to-back yet leave the shelves in an easy-to-remove state. Will this work for that purpose?

A: Yes it will. I use this product all the time to prevent stuff from sliding. My dog pushes his food bowl all around the place while he eats. Just four square patches on the bottom of the food bowl stops it.

A: I found that in my applications involving very cold areas, it requires additional adhesive to stick well. It will stick, but will start to pull up at the least cause. An extra drop of glue in the right place solves that no problem.
