      A:  The tilt is the entire chair (seat and back together).. and it can be adjusted with the tension knob on the bottom of the seat. The seat and back are together and stationary. If you unscrew the knob, the chair will have a slight rocking motion if you move it. Tighten it back up once you find the desired tilt level. Hope this helps.

        A:  Not really a tilt back. The knob controls the tension or pressure when leaning against seat back.
