A:  As long as it is the 18volt battery. I have a Makita drill/driver set over ten years old. As the batteries began to become to not hold their charges efficiently I began buying additional sets to get the batteries with the bonus of the tools. I bought that particular set a few years ago on a Black Friday sale and have expanded yet again! I now have over 4 drills and drivers, a weed whacker, a leaf blower, small router, several circular saws and the indispensable flashlight. Just to add I am still using 1 of the original 3Ah batteries that came with my original set that I bought in late 2010. The 2 Ah batteries that came with the last set (black brushless tools) are actually very handy due to their compact size for the lighter energy demanding tools. My trimmer/blower combo set came with a 5Ah battery ... ALL batteries and tools are interchangeable!
