A:  Thanks for your question. Both sizes are made to the same high quality standards and offer great value and aesthetics. The larger size does tend to show more definition between the individual pieces of glass. The smaller of the two tends to have a smoother look once installed.

A:  Hi Bobby.... for me the 1/4 " was too small to spread in my yard, amoung the gravel. I like shiny things :)

            A:  I'm not recommending 1/2inch,that's what I used

            by|May 5, 2023

A:  The smaller pebbles are more likely to get submerged under the soil in time.

A:  1/2 inch is bigger. You can see them better than 1/4

A:  Depends how deep you want it. I used one 25# bag in small fire pit and it was adequate. Probably need two (or more), for a large fire pit. The look of the fire glass is way more impressive than lava they include. See pictures I posted to a previous review/question.

A:  The picture shows 7- 25 lbs of glass

                    Answer This Question

A:  Maybe, check with manufacturer of log set and/or glass mfgr. You would likely need a large bag or at least two smaller bags as you will need to build it up at least 1/2 inch above the fuel pipe that would have been under the logs.

A:  The glass does not ignite the flame but is a decoration for a gas fueling flame

A:  I would start with one 25 pound bag and then see if you need more.

A:  each bag covers about 2ft x 2ft at 2 inches thick, so my guess is 2 or 3 but you will have to measure
